Millennial Esports Arena at Neonopolis is Prime for Esports in Las Vegas

Movie Theater Like Event Room at Millennial Esports.

The Millennial Esports Arena at Neonopolis is prime and ready for esports in Las Vegas. If you haven’t heard of Millennial Esports Arena, it’s the first esports arena in Las Vegas, and one of the only arenas in the country dedicated exclusively to esports. We were just there for the Halo World Championship Qualifier a couple of weeks ago. As hundreds wandered the grounds with excitement and interest, we were overwhelmed with the size and scope of the event. We couldn’t have been more impressed with the venue. This could really kick-start Vegas into becoming one of the esports capitals of the world!

Professionals Like Optic Gaming Battle at LAN Stations

Upon entering the arena, six to eight LAN stations were set up from wall to wall where professional teams such as Optic Gaming and Team Liquid were battling it out to qualify for the the Halo World Championships. A huge projector screen showed the main events as casters were commentating and evaluating each match.

Arena VIP Section and Snack Area

There was also a VIP section where teams could warm up complete with bean bags and PCs for those fine-tuning their game, or for those recuperating from an intense match. On the opposite side of the room there is a must needed commodity for those serious gamers: a snack station where you can chow down and get your Monster Energy fix.

Down the hall from the LAN room, we found the Movie Theater Style Arena, which seats about 200 people. The main matches were set up on this stage complete with four v. four stations. Each station had individual monitors facing the audience, so we could watch what each player’s personal screen. In addition, a huge projector screen highlighted the match with commentators for those watching.

One of the venues strengths is that the main events are also projected in the LAN room. As the match becomes more intense, more and more people begin to filter into the theater. By the end it was so full that people were sitting on the stairs – which is impressive given that it was only a couple hours into their Grand Opening event! There is nothing like this venue anywhere in Las Vegas!
